#feelgoodfriday | Hayes agrees two-year extension.
27th April 2018
Centre Lloyd Hayes becomes the latest Knight to extend his stay at Castle Park agreeing a new two-year contract extension.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed an impressive finish to the 2017/18 campaign having battled back from a lengthy injury lay off to start each of the last three Knights fixtures, scoring in the 50-19 demolition of Ealing Trailfinders.
Lloyd joined the Knights from South Yorkshire rivals Rotherham Titans in April 2016 and has been a constant presence in the Knights midfield ever since. To date Hayes has made 36 competitive appearances in a Knights jersey, touching down eight times.
Prior to becoming a Titan, Hayes made a name for himself at Chester aiding his hometown club to scoop the National Three North title with 395 points in the 2012/13 season.
Hayes joins Will Owen and Mat Clark in the Knights midfield as the 2018/19 squad continues to take shape.
Lloyd spoke to DKTV following his new deal.
