Former Saints and Warriors Fly-half joins Doncaster
27th December 2018
Sam Olver has joined the Knights on loan until the end of the season from Ealing Trailfinders.
The fly-half signed for Ealing in the summer from Worcester Warriors, where he featured 14 times, scoring 61 points.
The 24 year-old has represented England at under 18s and 20s level and the youngster played in four tests for the England U20s during their 2014 Six Nations Championship.
Sam started his professional rugby career at Premiership side Northampton Saints where he earned a professional contract at Franklin’s Gardens in March 2013 and helped Northampton Wanderers to three Aviva A League finals in four seasons, whilst also making 14 first team appearances.
At Ealing he made four appearances, three coming in the GK IPA Championship.
DoR Clive Griffiths was delighted to get the fly-half into the Doncaster squad. “Sam has been here before and is an impressive player with a vast amount of experience for his age. His previous Premeirship clubs of Northampton Saints and Worcester Warriors show he has a good pedigree and will make a great addition to the squad.”
