Knights confirm departing players list.
3rd September 2020
Doncaster Knights have today confirmed the names of the players who are leaving the Club ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Included in the group are several players that have been with the squad for many seasons and played pivotal roles in the Club’s recent successes.
Captain Michael Hills leaves the Club he first joined as a six-year-old after seven seasons and 140 games for the first team. Hillsy skippered the Knights to the play-off finals in a campaign that saw the side make history and finish ranked as #14 in the country.
Colin Quigley is another stalwart that we wave goodbye to this term after six years at Castle Park. Quigs has gained cult status not only in Doncaster but across the Championship and became synonymous with the Knights strong set piece as we reached back to back play-off campaigns in 2016 and 2017.
Both players will be fondly missed at Castle Park and we hope to see them at a game as spectators in the future.
We say goodbye also to Tom James & Lloyd Hayes both of whom have established themselves as firm fan favourites in recent seasons with some fine displays and crucial contributions to the Knights cause.
The full confirmed list can be found below, we wish all players leaving us the very best for the next step of their career and thank them for their efforts in a Donny shirt!
