Knights sign centre, Penaia Tagutu

Doncaster Knights are delighted to announce the signing of centre Penaia Tagutu.

An exciting addition to the Knights backline, Tagutu arrives at Castle Park after establishing himself as one of the standout performers in Army Rugby Union. A dynamic and powerful midfielder, he combines strong ball carrying with natural Fijian flair, making him a constant threat with ball in hand.

Known for his ability to create something out of nothing, Tagutu has built a reputation for producing moments of brilliance on the biggest stages. His pace, footwork, and physicality have made him a key player for the Army, regularly causing problems for opposition defences.

He has made a habit of scoring spectacular tries in major inter-service fixtures, including a sensational solo effort from halfway against the RAF and a crucial second-half score during the Army’s clash with the RAF at Kingsholm Stadium. Those performances have helped establish him as one of the most exciting attacking players within the Armed Forces game.

As well as his attacking qualities, Tagutu brings a strong defensive presence and a relentless work ethic, characteristics that have made him a highly respected figure within Army Rugby.

Now making the move to Doncaster Knights, the powerful centre arrives with the opportunity to showcase his talents in the Championship. His combination of physicality, athleticism, and attacking flair promises to make him an exciting addition to the squad ahead of the new season.
