Kurt Morath leaves the Knights by mutual consent

Kurt Morath has today left the club by mutual consent.
The fly-half made 15 appearances last season, scoring 73 points. The Tongan Intentional represented his country at the 2019 World Cup in Japan, however was injured in the early encounters of the second half in the game with England.
As the record points scorer for the Pacific Island country had to leave the field after receiving a boot to his larynx (throat).
The 35-year-old was ruled out of the rest of the tournament and had previously played in every World Cup game for his country since 2011.
Kurt made the the following statement: “I’d like to thank Doncaster Knights, club staff and supporters for the opportunity to represent such a prestigious club. My family and I leave with fond memories and lifetime friendships. I wish the club all the success in the future.”
