DKTV | Tom Hicks | Post Match Reaction: "We owed the fans a performance."

Doncaster earned their second victory at Castle Park in 2019 after a 27-20 victory over Bedford Blues on Saturday.

Tom Hicks scored his first try of the season in just his third match since returning from an injury sustained in October.

The second row found a gap in the Bedford defence after a clever pass from Sam Olver and was able to stretch away to score.

Tom was delighted at the result and performance from the Knights.

“Yes it was a massive (win) we spoke before the game about being desperate as the previous games have not been good enough, we owed the fans a performance and today we got one.”

The 6ft 8 lock was also pleased to get his first try of the season.

“I don’t get many and yes I was out for a while and I have felt a bit rusty the last two matches, but I certainly felt better today and hopefully I can take that forward.”

The Knights are back in action in two weeks time as we face London Irish on Saturday 23rd Match, 3pm kick off.
