Doncaster Knights are delighted to announce Elliott Creed as the club’s newest signing of the summer.
The 21 year-old arrives at Castle Park from Aviva Premiership side Gloucester, where the youngster made nine first team appearances.
Capped for England at U18 level, the former Gloucester academy player brings a versatility to Castle Park. An ability to play at either fly-half, centre or wing, Creed is a useful addition to the upcoming Knights Championship campaign.
Standing at 5’8 and weighing 86 KG, Creed will add pace and agility to the Knights backline.
The versatile player spoke of his delight of signing. “I am very excited to be joining Doncaster, having spoken to Clive and seen the facilities and the direction of the club.
“The current group of players there give the club every opportunity to succeed in all competitions and to challenge strongly in the Championship.”
Creed was also a backs coach for a local Gloucester school Chosen Hill last season. The move some three hours north is one he is relishing though. “Doncaster will be a new challenge for me and I am looking forward to moving up North and getting going with pre season!”
Knights director of Rugby Clive Griffiths was delighted with the signing. “He’s a very good footballer, has the ability to play 10, 12 and has also featured on the wings so he’s a real good value for us.”
“Having lost Andy Bulumakau it was important that we brought somebody in very keen to do well and Elliot who has featured for Gloucester first team on a number of occasions so he’s well suited to us.”
