Doncaster Knights RFC are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist, Sports Rehabilitator, Sports Therapist to join their medical department. (DOR) and will have good communication and interpersonal skills to manage professional rugby players on a daily basis.
Roles will include:
Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of injured players.
Design and implementation of rehabilitation plans for injured players.
Delivery of “prehab” sessions for players.
Liaison with Head of Medical, Club Doctors, DOR, S&C and coaching staff on player injuries.
Pitch side first aid provision for all Knights training and fixtures, including overnight away trips.
Strapping and massage.
Appropriate reporting and record keeping of treatments on the Rugby Squad system.
Assisting the Head of Medical, where necessary, with audits and administration.
Undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy, Sports Rehabilitation or Sports Therapy.
Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience, preferably in sport.
Membership and indemnity insurance with your relevant governing body (e.g. BASRaT, STA etc).
Pitch-side experience in sport.
First aid qualification.
RFU PHICIS level 3 qualification.
Experience working in rugby union or elite/professional sport.
Knowledge of S&C principles.
