Knights boost front row options with Hislop addition.

The Knights have bolstered their front row options with the addition of loose-head prop Robin Hislop from Rotherham Titans.

Hislop will compete with Rich List and Joe Sproston for the number one jersey in a very competitive looking Knights front row.

The 24-year old arrives following a three-year stint at Clifton Lane, featuring in Rotherham’s play-off campaigns in 2013/14 and 2014/15.

The young Scot developed through the academy of Edinburgh Rugby and, having advanced through the academy set up, made a handful or first team appearances in the European Cup and Pro12 before a broken leg slowed his progress. In November 2013 Robin went on loan with the Titans before making the move permanent ahead of the 2014/15 season.

‘Bomber’ collected age grade honours with Scotland at Under 17, 18 and 20 level eventually going on to Captain the U20s. He also appeared for ‘Scotland Clubs’ versus ‘Ireland Clubs’ in 2013.

Speaking on his move to Castle Park Robin commented. "I’m delighted to be joining Doncaster.

“They've obviously just had a really good season so there is a real buzz and hunger about the place to kick on into next season and I’m really looking forward to getting started and meeting up with the lads"

"The Knights have one of the best forward packs in the league, so I am looking forward to being a part of that and hopefully adding to it."

Director of Rugby Clive Griffiths added. “We are very fortunate to secure the services of Robin.

“He will bring a sharp competitive edge to our front row play and provide healthy competition for places.

“Robin knows the Championship inside out and gives valuable experience up front as well as knowing all about opposition territory.”
