The club are delighted to announce that Andrew Foster will be joining Doncaster next season on a two-year-deal.
The Tight-Head Prop is currently at Yorkshire Carnegie and has made 21 appearances this season for the Leeds based side.
The 25-year-old spent the 2017/18 campaign at Rotherham Titans having previously played at Newcastle Falcons and Blaydon RFC in National One, where he was a member for 14 years.
Newcastle born, Andrew made his Premiership debut for his home-town club in April 2015 against Saracens and his European Rugby Challenge Cup debut against Brive in January 2016.
DoR Clive Griffiths was pleased to add another new signing for the 2019/20 campaign.
“Andy has developed into one of the best tightheads in the Premiership and I know Steve Boden was reluctant to see him go, we are fortunate to get his services next season to bolster up the right-hand side of the scrum.
Andy has developed his overall game as well, in between the set-pieces has improved immensely so we are getting an all-round tighthead prop.”
Andrew is looking forward to arriving at Castle Park in the summer.
“I am really excited to be joining Doncaster for the next two seasons. After speaking to Clive and seeing the direction the club is heading in it was an obvious choice for me.
I have played at Castle Park a number of times over the last few seasons and it’s always a fantastic atmosphere. I am really looking forward to playing there regularly and meeting everyone at the club.”
