The Knights looking to get back to winning ways

Doncaster travel to the Butts Park Arena looking to be the second side to beat Coventry in their home ground this season.

The newly promoted team have only lost once at home this campaign, to last season’s relegated Premiership side London Irish.

The last match at Butts Park Arena ended in a narrow 31-29 as the Knights’ fought back with two late tries from Will Owen and Cameron Cowell earning them two points in the Championship Cup.

In the reverse fixture at Castle Park, it was Doncaster have claimed a deserved 20-19 victory, after tries from Will Owen and Ciaran Booth handed a first Championship Cup win to Doncaster.

DoR Clive Griffiths has made several changes to the side that were unfortunate to lose to Yorkshire Carnegie last weekend.

In the backs, Steve McColl, Tyson Lewis and Dougie Flockhart all return to the starting line-up. While new addition Sam Olver is set to make his first start of the season, since joining on loan from Ealing Trailfinders.

Nick Civetta is set to make his first appearance since coming back from international duty with the USA.

On the side-lines injured for the Knights remains Kurt Morath, Matt Challinor, Curtis Wilson, Morgan Eames, Paul Jarvis, Dave Nelson and Tom Hicks.

Director of Rugby Clive Griffiths is looking for the Knights to get their game management right against Coventry. “We are not far off getting out game management correct and with that the results will come, we’ve seen it in all the games how close they have been, it is just we get that made moment in matches and causes a bit of grief.”
