Rugby legend visits Castle Park

Today’s Knights training at Castle Park featured a very special guest as Wales Defence Coach Shaun Edwards paid the team a visit.

Edwards, who is the most decorated Rugby League player to have ever lived and has a total of 37 winners medals to his name oversaw a Knights training session today as the team prepare for Sunday’s vital clash with Nottingham Rugby. As a coach the former Man of Steel has had an equally remarkable career in the XV a side code and won three successive Premiership titles and two Heineken Cups with London Wasps before aiding Wales to Grand Slam success in 2008 and 2012 as well the RBS 6 Nations title in 2013 in his role of Defence Coach.

The former Great Britain star took the team through some drills during today’s training, fingers crossed his expertise will be put to use by the Knights in their end of year showdown at Meadow Lane.
