Sam Olver attracted by history and support base of the club in joining the Knights

Latest addition Sam Olver is pleased with the Knights’ coaches faith in him after the fly-half featured in the second half of Saturday’s loss to Yorkshire Carnegie.
The former Worcester Warriors back was attracted to join by the great history and support base of the club.
“I spoke to Clive and his ideas he has for the team, it is a big club with a great history that attracts a lot of fans in the championship, it was an exciting prospect for me to join and play some rugby.”
The 24-year-old was keen to help push the Knights up the table with a victory against Coventry on the 12th January.
“I want to try push the side up the league as high as possible, we’re lower than we want to be at the moment, so I’d like to personally come in and hopefully make a difference to the team.
I am fortunate to have been in the squad for Saturday’s match, it shows the backing of the coaches to trust me, I am looking forward to getting out here at Castle Park as many times at possible and playing for Doncaster.”
Sam had a spell at Castle Park on loan from Northampton Saints earlier in his career, which helped persuade his move.
“There are a few familiar faces from when I was here last and that makes the transition a bit easier when arriving from a different club.”
