Biography

Loosehead prop Conor Davidson arrived in Doncaster in October 2021 as crucial injury cover for the Knights. Making the switch from Manly RUFC in New South Wales, Conor had previously played for the side in the New South Wales Shute Shield and the Tooheys New Cup.

Australian-born, Conor previously experienced English rugby when he played under assistant coach Joe Ford at Yorkshire Carnegie during the 2019/20 season.

Conor faced an extended period without rugby as Australia faced multiple COVID lockdowns, but he arrived at Castle Park ready to test himself in a Knights journey and chalk up some game time.

It would be fair to say, the prop experienced a stellar first season – playing 16 games and becoming an indispensable part of the Knights front row. Conor quickly became a favourite face amongst Knights fans whilst simultaneously becoming well-respected by teammates and coaches alike. Additionally, he was shortlisted for the Champ Rugby Team of the Season.

Despite a serious long-term injury plaguing his 2022/23 season, Conor advanced to 23 Knights appearances. This season he will be looking to re-stamp his mark on that starting loosehead shirt.
