Hooker George Roberts originally signed for the Knights in the summer of 2020 from Welsh side RGC for whom he had started his professional career, having signed from their Academy in 2016.

George has faced tough competition for the hooker shirt throughout his time in Doncaster so far, but the 24 year old enjoyed an extremely impressive 2021/22 season – so impressive that he was handed a brand new contract to remain in Yorkshire.

The young front-rowers contribution to many a game was undeniable in the 2021/22 season as he featured in 20 league and 3 cup games, scoring a try against Coventry at Castle Park in December 2021.

The most experienced Knights hooker in the squad now – as he begins the season on 49 appearances – George will be competing fiercely for the starting berth for another season.
