Wing and full-back Harry Davey signed for the Knights from Championship competition Cornish Pirates ahead of the 2021/22 season. Born in Dewsbury, the Yorkshireman returns North having originally moved to Pirates from Yorkshire Carnegie in 2019.
Harry’s time at Mennaye Field was affected by injury, but he still managed 10 appearances in a range of positions across the back-line.
A formed England U18s squad member, Harry made his senior debut for Carnegie in 2017 against London Irish in the quarter-final of the British and Irish Cup.
His Donny debut came in 2021 and Harry soon began to excel in a strong Knights back-line – multiple times giving his teammates a run for their money in the selection stakes.
Notching up 26 Knights appearances so far, Harry returns this year looking to test himself in a new role of centre. With new faces in the back-line, it will be interesting to see how Harry adapts and earns his place throughout the season.
