Biography

Tighthead prop Karl Garside signed for the Knights ahead of the 2022/23 season from Premiership side, Northampton Saints.

Karl made 12 appearances for the Franklin’s Gardens outfit since joining in 2018 following a successful trial period.

Throughout his time at Northampton, Karl experienced loan time with Bedford Blues during the 2020/21 season as part of Saints’ partnership with the fellow Championship side.

In a rugby career which began at Oaklands College, Karl also represented Hertfordshire and England Counties before spending time with Ampthill and Old Albanians.

Having made 19 Knights appearances in his first season, Karl will go up against experienced competition amongst his fellow tightheads for appearances in the Knights pack this season.
