Biography

Centre Joe Margetts was a product of Hartpury College’s notable rugby set-up, spending a total of seven years within the university’s sports programme having joined as a 16-year-old in the AASE team before progressing to the University ranks.

During that time, Joe aided Hartpury’s BUCS side to a Super Rugby title and, upon graduating, was offered a contract with their Championship side.

A natural athlete with a notable jink-step, Joe was acquired by the Knights as the coaches set their sights on bringing out the best in the young prospect.

Debuting for the Donny men in November 2021 against Richmond, Joe’s hard work was rewarded with a try on debut. He went on to add 3 more to his name before the season came to a close with Joe having featured in 13 games.

Now having amassed 37 Knights appearances in total, Joe will be looking this season to build on centre partnerships with the new faces in the position as well as furthering his own game.
