Past Players Event Postponed

We are sad to announce that the annual DRFC Past Players event on April 25th will no longer take place on the date scheduled.

At this moment it is unclear whether matches will be rescheduled after the official suspension date (April 14th) and following discussions with the event organisers we have taken the decision to postpone the lunch, with a view to rescheduling once the picture is a little clearer.

We would like to be clear that at this moment in time our fixture with Ampthill RUFC on April 25th is still on, however, it is a very fluid situation that could change at short notice.

Any bookings that have been made & paid for will be valid for when the event does take place. We appreciate everyone’s support and patience during these uncertain times.

Past Players Lunch letter from Neil Watson

The Past Players lunch takes place next month in the penultimate home game of the season for the Knights on the 25th April.

It is a great chance for former teammates to meet and talk about past victories and memories over the years gone by.

Neil Watson has sent the following letter.

This years Past Players lunch will take place on the 25th April, when Doncaster Knights entertain league newcomers Ampthill, who are doing quite well so far.

The cost of the lunch, not including match ticket, will be £16.

The lunch will be 12pm for 12.30 start. The book ring the club on 01302 831388 and if you wish to sit with any particular group please let me know when you book.

It will be Clive Griffiths’ penultimate home game, and hopefully he will call in so we can show our appreciation for his efforts over the years.

Over the last few years so any of us at the club have had our lives touched by cancer. Therefore this year i would like to donate the profit from our raffle to Cancer Research. I hope you will all support this.

If you need any further information give me a ring on 01302 856236.

Neil Watson.
