Welcome to Doncaster Knight Juniors
We offer teams at U13-U14-U15-U16 and follow the age grade principles of being player centred, development driven, and competition supported, and all players play a minimum of half a match in fixtures.
New players, with or without Rugby experience are made very welcome, inexperienced players are introduced gradually to avoid unnecessary risk. Where player numbers exceed what is reasonable, we will develop/implement second independent teams at the specific age grade to support all players where possible.
From U14+ players can also start to be assessed and potentially nominated to Yorkshire RFU for the England Rugby Development Player Programme (ERDPP) which is the pathway into representative level rugby.
We are extremely proud to be part of Yorkshires only Championship Club whilst still being importantly a community section.
Training for U16’s is on a Tuesday evening
Training for U15’s is on a Tuesday evening
Training for U14’s is on a Thursday evening
Training for U13’s is on a Thursday evening
Matches are generally played on a Sunday home and away across the region and all players followed by a match brief and food with the opposition in the club house.
