Doncaster Demons

Established in 2003, Doncaster Demons are the women's playing arm of rugby at Castle Park.
The Demons pride themselves on offering any player interested in joining the team, a warm rugby welcome, coach delivered training sessions and access to unrivalled facilities.
The team compete in the RFU Women’s League Competitions and over the seasons have secured countless league wins. Involvement in cups and tournaments across the UK has helped to define the Demon’s presence beyond the local area. The side has had many successes, highlighted by seversl Demons being selected for County & North of England honours.
The Demons frequently host ‘taster’ events at Castle Park, enjoy appearances by the England squad and have increasing links with local businesses/organisations to help support womens rugby in the area.
Training is led by RFU qualified coaches on Wednesdays 19.00 – 20.15 at Castle Park.  The type of training delivered is tailored for in-season and off-season requirements.  Primarily, out of season consists of plenty of functional fitness and more specific conditioning and game run-throughs are adopted toward the start of pre-season.  We encourage all our players to attend training, which is designed to train players for their positions and mimic situations which will occur on the field.
Each season, the team aim to retain as many players as possible but are always on the look out for new recruits and the Demons welcome any players looking to begin their career or return to rugby after a period of injury or leave.  No matter your ability, the players and support staff will help you to grow and develop your confidence as a valued member of the team.
As an amateur team, there is a heavy reliance on willing volunteers.  The team will always welcome support and applications from individuals who might be interested in helping the Demons to succeed.  Whether you are able to offer your services as a coach, match physiotherapist or just happy to pitch in where possible, please contact the team manager on the email below.
