Knight sign Centre, Tololima Savaiinaea
22nd June 2026
Doncaster Knights are delighted to announce the signing of centre Tololima Savaiinaea from Richmond.
A powerful and exciting midfield talent, Savaiinaea arrives at Castle Park after an impressive season with Richmond, where he established himself as one of the club’s standout performers. His combination of flair, powerful ball carrying, and attacking instincts made him a constant threat and one of the most dangerous centres in the league.
Before moving to England, Savaiinaea gained valuable rugby experience in both New Zealand and Samoa, developing his game in two of the sport’s most competitive rugby environments. He then made the move to England in 2022, joining London Welsh and continuing his progression within the domestic game.
His performances eventually earned him a move to Richmond, where he consistently caught the eye with his ability to break tackles, create opportunities, and generate momentum for his side through strong carries and physical presence.
Off the back of a standout campaign, Savaiinaea now joins Doncaster Knights as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
Currently enjoying his summer representing Maverick 7s, the Samoan centre will arrive at Castle Park with plenty of momentum and confidence as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.
With his blend of power, athleticism, and attacking flair, Savaiinaea promises to be an exciting addition to the Knights backline.
Head of recruitment Matt Harland said:
“Lima is a player the fans are really going to like and get behind. Lima impressed us last season especially in the game at Castle Park where he caused us a lot of problems defensively. Big ball carrier and hard hitting Lima will add more strength to our centres.”

Hearing the club’s history has made me excited to be part of the culture at Knights and develop as a player. I can’t wait to learn from and grow with the team.”
