Tyson Lewis spent the 2011/12 season at Plymouth Albion after spells with Basildon, Southend, Blackheath and a short trial stint with Newcastle Falcons. The Essex-born finisher caught the eye of the Knights with his match winning performance in December 2011 at Brickfields as Plymouth overcame Doncaster courtesy of two tries from Lewis. The 27-year-old speedster was nominated as one of only two non Premiership players for Player of the Series in the 2011 JP Morgan Premiership 7s, earning his call-up after notching an impressive 34 tries for Blackheath during two seasons with the National One outfit.
